NLBWA signs on to AT&T's “It Can Wait” no texting while driving campaign.

It Can Wait campaignNational Latina Business Women Association is excited to be signing on to the “It Can Wait” no texting while driving campaign, hosted by AT&T.  “We know the importance of this campaign and we’re happy to offer our support and to encourage our women-owned businesses, partners, families and friends to stop, think and sign on to this important initiative” said NLBWA National President, Suzanna Sanchez.   Drivers that text while driving are 23 times more likely to be in a crash according to the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute.  So far, over one hundred thousand individuals have taken the pledge to not text and drive, and hundreds have downloaded the Drive Mode app to curb the urge to text behind the wheel.  If you’d like to sign the pledge and join this campaign please do so today and promise to stop texting while driving.  A survey hosted by AT&T revealed, “sixty-two percent of teens said that getting reminders from their parents not to text and drive would be effective in stopping them from doing it.”

Our goal is to reach 10 million small business owners through organizations like yours with the It Can Wait message. Together I think we can make a significant impact on the estimated 100,000+ crashes a year that involve drivers who are texting. To say the least, we can't wait to include you in this wonderful initiative to save lives.Take the pledge now
