Margaret Pullés is president and CEO of PuMa Communications & Cultural Services, a public relations and government relations consulting firm founded in 2006 and headquartered in Washington, DC.  Prior to PuMa, Margaret served in a number of senior positions in both the private and public sectors. 

As deputy director of the Smithsonian Institution Affiliations Office she provided strategic counseling in development, branding, communications and program development to more than140 educational and cultural institutions in the U.S., Latin America, Caribbean and Australia.

As director of public affairs and account supervisor at Burson-Marsteller she managed and represented corporate and government client interests including those of Owens-Corning, The Home Depot, Eli-Lilly and Company, Allstate, and the French Trade Commission. As political appointee to the George H.W. Bush administration, she served at the U.S. Department of Transportation's Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's Office of Communications and Legislative Affairs. In 2010, Margaret produced and hosted Temas en Debate con Margarita Pulles y Armando Guzman, the first live Spanish-language current affairs radio show to transmit from Washington, DC. Margaret serves on the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition advisory board and the National Latina Women Business Association national board.
